She died in the early hours of
today, weeks after being in coma in
an undisclosed American hospital which was as a result of her collapse on a 14-hour flight on her
way to Chicago for an event about a two
weeks ago. A source close to the family
revealed that she was diagnosed of having
pre-eclampsia – pregnancy induced high
blood pressure.
A close friend of her husband,
OAP Teddy Don Momoh confirmed the
news on Wazobia Fm this morning,
saying:a “One of our very own is
dead. May her soul rest in peace.”
Kefee started her music career at age of
eight in her church choir and was famous
for her gospel songs ‘Branama’ and
‘Kokoroko’ (oh i love this song). She has won several awards
including the best collaboration Headies
Award in 2010.
And she resided happily with her husband in the United State and managed her
restaurant, Branama Kitchen, in Lagos until her coma and death.
May her gentle soul rest in the bossom of the Lord.
